More Sustainability with Reducing Agents – Introduction of Brüggemann's New Developments at the ECS 2023

The European Coat­ings Show (ECS), delayed by two years due to the pandemic, took place along with the European Coat­ings Show Confer­ence from March 28th – 30th in Nurem­berg. After three intense days, this important trade fair revolving around the produc­tion of paints, varnishes, seal­ants, construc­tion chem­icals, and adhes­ives ended on a high note, with everyone at Brügge­mann with a smile on their face.

Over 1,000 companies from around the world presented their products and innov­a­tions at this year's ECS. Among them Brügge­mann with new devel­op­ments in the field of redu­cing agents. The new form­al­de­hyde-free Redu­cing Agent TP 1646 features suffi­cient stability in acidic solu­tions without any odor nuis­ance and thus ensures highly effi­cient use in emul­sion poly­mer­iz­a­tion.

The enormous contri­bu­tion to more sustain­ab­ility util­izing form­al­de­hyde-free redu­cing agents - not only in post-poly­mer­iz­a­tion but espe­cially in main poly­mer­iz­a­tion – has been a highly important topic in many discus­sions. This will allow for signi­ficant energy savings and thus great cost advant­ages for manu­fac­turers of emul­sion poly­mers.

Further­more, Brügge­mann now offers an envir­on­ment­ally friendly redu­cing agent for poly­mer­iz­a­tions in the organic phase, which is avail­able in various solvents as a ready-to-use prepar­a­tion.

In addi­tion, numerous product present­a­tions on new raw mater­ials, trends, and tech­niques in the industry took place during the ECS 2023.

Brügge­mann pointed out its ambi­tions to effi­ciently support manu­fac­turers of emul­sion poly­mers in the field of biocide stability through the optim­ized use of redu­cing agents with a present­a­tion. Brügge­mann's pres­ence at the ECS 2023 was received very posit­ively, and a large number of inquiries were answered at the booth.

Commis­sioning of New Biomass Heating Plant at the Heil­bronn Site

With the commis­sioning of its new biomass heating plant in 2023, Brugge­mann will change its energy supply at the Heil­bronn site from fossil to renew­able energy sources. In future, we will use about 15,000 metric tons of biomass per year to cover our heating require­ments. 

With our innov­ative biomass heating plant, we not only focuse on effi­cient energy gener­a­tion, but also create a signi­ficant bond to sustain­ab­ility. The CO2 emis­sions of our products is decreasing consid­er­ably.
